–1. Use a non-skid reusable frame or base when using tacky mats on carpeted and wood flooring. A frame will help ensure that no adhesive residue remains on the floor.  The mats stick to the frame, which allows multiple re-use and easy relocation.  The frames extend 1 -2” beyond the border of the mats and have an extremely low profile, so they won’t interfere with the bottom of the room’s door as it opens.

A thicker adhesive layer will retain particles deep into the adhesive and lets the surface that contacts shoe soles to be used again. In addition, a softer adhesive layer will help allow these particles to move down into the adhesive layer, also keeping them off of the surface.
